Caitlin Cronin started out working as a Publishing Assistant, Sales Coordinator and Sales Executive at Hardie Grand Egmont selling titles into Myer and Collins books.
Later after this, she moved into Project Administration and was a Property Officer with the Victorian Police.
These roles gave her the skills to move into her current position at ACMI as a Coordinator for Public, Education and Industry Programs where she has had many great successes.
Caitlin pitched, developed and delivered her idea of the new ACMI Women and Non-Binary Gamers Club – a monthly meet-up dedicated to providing a safe space for women and non-binary people to meet, and play video games.
She’s also written and contributed to articles and reviews for the ACMI Ideas page on video games.
Caitlin worked as a park of the consultative group for the selection of new videogames for the ACMI Games Lab and updated GameMasters exhibition.
Currently, Caitlin is working as an Associate Producer on ACMI’s new upcoming beta testing program in the end-to-end development and delivery.
This is Caitlin’s first time being included on the Women in Games list and she told MCV Pacific, “I am absolutely floored to be included on this year’s list among such wonderful, inspiring, and talented women. There really are so many amazing people in this industry and to be even a tiny part of that is an absolute honour. It feels a bit like a dream to be honest!
A massive thank you to all of the people who have supported me, advised me, and inspired me.”
