Ceri John completed a Bachelor of Business (Honours) in Marketing and International Business in 2010 from Auckland University of Technology. The International Business saw her travel to Connecticut, USA in 2009 to complete a marketing internship.
While finishing her Honours for her Bachelor of Business in 2010, she was also starting her first full-time marketing role as a Marketing Assistant for New Zealand department store Farmers.
Ceri decided to use the experience she had gained in her fours years within the fashion marketing team for Farmers, she jumped at the opportunity to take the role of Product Manager at PlayStation New Zealand in 2014. She attributes part of her success in gaining the role in her fine-tuned original Crash Bandicoot skills.
In her time at PlayStation, Ceri has been involved in driving the PlayStation business into all facets of marketing. Her role includes managing all major software campaigns across paid and PR, giving PlayStation NZ the relevant New Zealand flair for all social interactions, managing the digital services arena of the business driving the PS Store and PlayStation Plus offerings to New Zealand consumers, and managing the PlayStation influencer programme “Friends of PlayStation.”
She has also been involved in successful marketing campaigns such as “Unleash Your Inner Kratos”, which was a workout programme designed to get you in shape for God of War, and the GT Sport Pit Stop Experience for media and influencers for the launch day of GT Sport, which showcased top NZ esport talents, in association with Let’s Play Live.
