Kamina makes her way on to the list for a third time.
Since we last caught up with Kamina , she has been continuing her work with GCAP as volunteer coordinator, and was the inaugural Film Victoria Women in Games Fellowship recipient.
Kamina graced the stage at PAX Australia 2017 at the “Break Into The Games Industry: SheMakesGames Edition” which focused on providing insight on moving into the games industry. Kamina continues this by working with #SheMakesGames and GirlGeek Academy as a mentor for other women.
You’ve probably heard Kamina on several podcasts over the past 12 months including Game Hugs, Nerd Appropriate and The Third Person. Kamina also participated in a charity head shave with previous Women in Games listee Sally Kellaway.
As a producer, Kamina eleased multi-award winning game Florence on Valentine’s day this year. She’s also studying Double Diploma Business/Leadership and Management and Diploma of Project Management thanks to the Film Victoria Women in Games Fellowship.
Kamina spoke to MCV Pacific about her inclusion on this year’s list, saying “It’s always an honour to be included on this list, in the company of so many incredible women. Games influences so many aspects of our lives and it’s great to see the variety of roles occupied by the women of this list. The diversity of the list is an exciting reflection of the changing face of the industry and I look forward to seeing that continue in the future.”
