Stephanie ‘Hex’ Bendixsen continues to make huge strides in her career and as an ambassador for Dementia Australia.
After her role with ABCTV’s ‘Good Game’ and ‘Good Game: Spawn Point’, Stephanie began presenting and producing for Channel 7’s ‘screenPLAY’. More recently, she has begun presenting for National Geographic’s ‘Only in Oz’, with more work with National Geographic to come. Her presentation skills are also seeing her close in on almost 15,000 followers on Twitch.
Stephanie has released a fourth in the Pixel Raiders series published through Scholastics Australia.
She is a regular MC and corporate speaker and the host of The Business of Indie Games Virtual Summit for Indie Developers.
As an Ambassador for Dementia Australia, she has raised almost $30,000 in the last 12 months. She’s currently training for the City2Surf, and is planning a charity Twitch stream with Bajo, where she aims to hit her goal of $15,000.
Speaking to MCV about her inclusion on the Women in Games list she says, ‘It’s been a tumultuous year for me and my work. Where some doors have closed, several others have opened – which is exciting and unsettling all at once. I think as a result I’m more grateful than ever to be able to attend this day with such incredible women – a space where I’m able to feel the support of others as I navigate this new stage of my career. I’m looking forward to congratulating the nominees in person for the incredible leaps I’ve seen them take over the past 12 months. I am truly in awe of their collective spirit.’
