This year is Vee’s second time on the MCV Pacific Women in Games list.
While still managing Stirfire Studios, Vee attempted an IPO for the studio. It’s the first attempted IPO of an Australian-originated games studio for the ASX that she knows of. She’s currently preparing another IPO attempt, along with another lead manager.
Vee has also worked alongside Western Australia’s Department of Jobs, Training, Science and Innovation for new pilot programs to support the games industry in the state.
Her work in Western Australia was recognised when she was a finalist on the WA Business News 40 Under 40 list.
Vee also represent the games industry at Screenwest’s Emerging Industry Summit and assisted in direct consultations.
Vee told MCV Pacific, “I am excited and humbled to be included in this year’s WIG list, particularly as the scope has expanded to encompass so many different people and facets of the industry.”
