Following the sale of IGN Entertainment to Ziff Davis, an Aussie arm of the company has opened up to look after IGN’s business interests.
Ziff Davis will take over commercial representation for both the IGN and Ask Men brands starting in July this year.
Ziff Davis’ role will be to enhance the sales team in the Sydney office with consumer, games and film specialists salespeople, aiming at growing both brands and the bespoke events they host.
James Whitehead has gone from General Manager of IGN Entertainment Australia to GM of Ziff Davis Australia Pty Ltd.
Whitehead said: “We’re thrilled to be launching Ziff Davis Australia – allowing us to take our established powerhouse brands to the next level, and introducing the opportunity to bring other globally successful sites to the country.”
“We have ambitious plans to build our consumer and sales offerings in Australia and to take advantage of the myriad advantages of becoming an owned and operated business. Our team will be further strengthened with the best local talent available.”
